POSITION: Area Sales Manager

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION: To generate sales within the Architect/Designer/ Flooring Contractor markets, as well as end users


  • Managing accounts with existing customers based in the following areas:
    London SE1 – SE28 & E1 to E18
    Berkshire, East Sussex, Essex, Kent, Norfolk, Suffolk, Surrey, West Sussex
  • Calling prospects to generate new sales/arrange visits
  • Dealing with customer queries as and when required
  • Attending site meetings with customers/relevant parties to inspect product installations
  • Keeping product information files up-to-date
  • Obtaining sales/technical information as required
  • Regular liaisons with relevant Head Office departments
  • General administration (reports/emails etc.)
  • A complete understanding of the full Jaymart product range of floorings, mats and mattings, including technical information
  • The use of the laptop computer/company software to produce daily call reports, updating customer database and transmission of emails.
  • Any other duties the company may require you to undertake in the execution of this role.

Key Skills
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Access)
  • Ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbally
  • Organisation
  • Administration.

  • Previous experience within a sales environment (essential)
  • Previous experience within the flooring industry (not essential).

Start Date: ASAP
  • This role will report to the National Sales Manager & Sales Director
  • This is a permanent position with a 3 month probationary period.
  • Please be aware that this role is a field based role which means you will be expected to be out on the road as much as possible.
